A first birthday is a special one. Our stylish grey and white soft play gives the very youngest guests a softly-padded space to explore, and gives you a beautifully-styled corner of the room to photograph.
Why soft play works well for a first birthday
One-year-olds are just finding their feet. A soft-play setup gives them a contained, cushioned space to crawl, cruise, climb the step-and-slide and enjoy a shallow ball pit.
It also solves the classic first-birthday problem: how do you entertain a room of babies and toddlers while giving parents a chance to sit down? With soft play in the corner, the little ones stay happy in one place.
Which package suits a first birthday?
For a first birthday in a home or smaller venue, our Little (£95) or Classic (£110) packages are often a lovely fit — step-and-slide, ball pit, tower and mats, with a tent and tunnel added in the Classic.
For larger spaces or a wider mix of ages, our Deluxe (£125) or Spectacular (£140) packages add trikes, hoppers and a playpen surround so the very smallest guests are safely contained.

Delivered, set up and cleaned away
We set up before your event and return to pack away and collect the equipment afterwards. Normal cleaning and clean-away are included, so your first-birthday morning is spent icing cakes and blowing up balloons rather than wrestling equipment.

First Birthday soft play — common questions
Is soft play a good idea for a one-year-old's birthday?
Yes — soft play is designed with young children in mind. A padded play area lets the birthday child and their little guests explore, and takes the pressure off entertaining the room.
Do you supervise the children?
No — Soft Play Spectacular is a hire service, not a childcare provider. Adult supervision is always required. We deliver, set up and collect the equipment; parents and carers remain responsible for supervising their own children.
How much space do I need for a first birthday setup?
Space needed depends on the package and the equipment included. Send us your postcode and a note about the room you plan to use when you enquire — we'll advise whether the package you're considering will fit comfortably.
Can it be set up outdoors?
